HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN IBU DENGAN PERILAKU PNCEGAHAN STUNTING DI RW 06 KEDUNGDORO SUARABAYA

The role of parents, especially mothers, is very important in ensuring nutritional fulfillment for toddlers, because in this phase children need special attention in the process of growth and development. Mother's ignorance can lead to mistakes in food selection, especially food for toddlers. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge and stunting prevention behavior in RW 06 Kedungdoro Surabaya. The research design is correlated with the cross-sectional design. The research subjects were 44 mothers under five who met the inclusion criteria at RW 06 Kedungdoro Surabaya. The research instrument used was a questionnaire to measure maternal knowledge about stunting and stunting prevention behavior. The results of the Spearman Rank test were obtained p = 0.000 where α = 0.05 so that p > α. This shows that there is a relationship between maternal knowledge and stunting prevention behavior in RW 06 Kedungdoro Surabaya with a correlation strength of +0.788.
